Ballinamore Courthouse - a Leitrim Observer report
Leitrim Co. Councillors have supported a motion calling for legal proceedings to be taken against the Department of Justice for neglect of Ballinamore Courthouse. Councillors were annoyed by what they described as the Departments failure to preserve this historic listed building.
Martin Dolan Acting County Manager, said that the Council were still looking for the Department of Justice to stabilise the building . "We will try again to encourage them to make it stable," he said, but Cllr Hughes pointed out his motion had been proposed and seconded, arguing "the time for talking is gone. Its time for legal action"
Clean, healthy water - thanks to Crystal Clear Coolers!
I am enjoying perfectly clean, filtered water since Keith Conroy installed my sink-top tap and under-sink filter.
The system was installed in about 30 minutes and now I have peace of mind knowing that I can drink as much water without having to boil any, as often as I wish. No more will I have to endure Boyle's 'have to boil' polluted, cloudy, Crypto / bug-infected water.
I can highly recommend and advise you to call Keith on 086 302 6860

Bananas ... did you know?
A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout.
No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the worlds leading athletes. But energy is not the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Think, Shop, Buy Local - whenever possible
Shopping local creates jobs. Traders in our area create local employment.
Local businesses are proportionally more generous in their support of local charities, schools, and community events. So supporting local shops means a financial contribution to our community.
Local traders and providers have great products at affordable prices. Some people get out of the habit of "local" and can be surprised by the range of products/services available.
Shopping locally saves you time and money. You travel less, saving on time and fuel.
Local businesses value, respect and appreciate your patronage.
We will all shop away occasionally, and that is fine, but we should Think Local First.

"With a little time left until Christmas we thought we'd let you know of some really fantastic gift ideas we have for your green-fingered family members! As usual our Christmas shop is an Aladdin's cave of all things sparkly and a showcase of the very latest designs in decorations and lights." [more...].
Facebook - like it or loathe it ...
1. There are more than one billion Facebook pages.
2. It surprises me that some of our traders, clubs and organisations do not have a Facebook Page.
3. Some do, but they do not take full advantage of Facebook by posting something every day, so that other pages can share their news /offers/ bargains etc ...
Major refurbishment work currently underway at Feelystone
Quote from Finbarr Feely: "We are very excited to see the renovation work in progress, it will be done in four phases, phase one is almost complete which is our granite and quartz showroom.
We have teamed up again with our local cabinet maker John Murray Kitchens, John will have seven fully fitted kitchens on display and Feelystone will finish them off with new colours of granite and quartz.
We get customers from all the surrounding counties, so it is great exposure for John Murray also, we will also be displaying Roman blinds from Taylor Interiors, this all helps to bring new business to Boyle.
Phase two is a New Monumental show room, it will be the biggest of its kind in Ireland. New designs and new Materials will be on display.
Phase three is a New Reception area also displaying fire hearts, customised fireplaces, sealing and grouting products, vanity units and limestone tiles.
Phase four is upgrading our exterior paving products display, several new paving materials will be laid which will further enhance the existing show area.
